Having trained in studio ceramics at Art College, I’ve always had an interest in “Pottery”.  I was introduced to China Painting by Dorothy Newsome in the late 1980’s and was hooked.  Although we painted in all styles and techniques, I always had a love of flowers.

About 10 years ago I attended a workshop on watercolour flower painting and this started my love of botanical watercolour flower studies.

I now divide my time between painting watercolours and china, as well as teaching and demonstrating the art of China Painting.  I will often take one of my own paintings and adapt it to a design for china.

Over the last few years I have become a full member of The Society of Botanical Artists, The Society of Floral Painters and The South West Society of Botanical Artists, which enables me to exhibit both in London and the South with both watercolours and painted china.
