The past year has been the busiest and most exciting of my life in China Painting. I have given 7 demonstrations and classes all over England and in Ireland. I have had a wonderful time visiting clubs in Kent, Bournemouth, Blackpool and Dublin. For the first time in the nine years I have organised a Summer School I was one of the tutors, and was very pleased to have 12 of the thirty girls attending select my class. I taught one of my favourite flowers - Irises - having been inspired by my visit to Monet's garden in Giverny many years go. With the ideas that came out of Centigrade last year, I have been able to innovate incorporating modern techniques in my work using dichroic glass - perfect for dew drops on Iris leaves and petals. Dew drop glass also gives an added lustre to a water scene. I have been a demonstrator at two shows - The Southern Show at North Baddesley and of course both Centigrade˚ 1st Fire, and Centigrade˚ -Medieval Knights. Through all this excitement, I have carried on with my regular weekly teaching classes in Bala, North Wales, and was delighted to have our sixth Grandchild Niamh, born to our Daughter Maria very shortly before Centigrade˚ - Medieval Knights in September 2009. To book Chris for a workshop or discuss your ideas please ring 01678 520390and she will be happy to assist you. |
