I was born in Scunthorpe in 1951, and as my father served in the RAF we travelled around Great Britain and Germany, and finally settled in Lincolnshire in 1967. I married Peter in 1971 and we have two grown up children - Paul and Lucy Anne, a gorgeous one year old grand daughter called Lexie, and a menagerie of animals.

Having always been interested in Art and Craftwork, I decided to enrol on a china painting course at adult education in 1987. I soon became addicted and two years later, bought my first kiln. Two years after that we had a studio built in the garden…..and the rest is history.

Today I teach and demonstrate around Great Britain and Holland, take on commission work and run weekend courses in my studio. I have won a silver ribbon and bronze ribbon at world conventions in America and I have had three of my media pictures transferred into cross stitch kits by the largest stitching company in the world – DMC. They have also commissioned other designs for future kits. The mixed media pictures are unique to me. They combine the two arts I enjoy the most – porcelain painting and embroidery / collage work.

I love anything fun and quirky, and am more than happy to join in to provide added sparkle to any event- so was quick to agree to be “The Black Witch” for Centigrade˚ - Medieval Knights in September this year.

I think you’ll agree that I look very fetching?
